Emerson's 1st Birthday!!!!

Emerson is a 1 year old!!! We can't believe how much the time has flown by. She got her first Fogarty hat at her birthday party from Auntie Shannon and Uncle Sean. She is the cutest Irish babe we have ever seen of course! She is pretty much walking (not quite there yet) and can't stop jabbering on about everything. She loves to dance too.  She likes to talk on the play phone and has quite the attitude lately. She really tells us when she does or doesn't like something! I like to refer to her as Dennis Ryan when she does that:) Just kidding daddy! kind of.....

July 4th at the Cabin and Swimming

Our little babe has been amazing us. She took 3 steps for me last night!!!  I will be running after her in no time. She has 6 teeth now too. Emerson had her first experience in the lake at the cabin for the 4th of July weekend swimming with Grandpa Reg. She didn't like her life jacket too much, but she did hang out  for quite awhile with all of her cousins in the water.

We went to a water park too and she loved it! She has also been going swimming in the pool at our neighbors and in our little pool. She loves water!

Mother's Day

Emerson went on her first Mother's Day walk for Breast Cancer. My mom and I have gone to this for 10 years and I am so glad that I can bring my daughter now too. She did very well and made it through the 5k and was very happy.  She just stared at all the people and hung out with Wyatt and Ethan.

Emerson and Daddy sent me a video while I was away attending my niece's recital. We were teaching her all day how to wave and of course, when I leave, she starts waving! Luckily Uncle Eric got it on tape and sent it to me. Our babe has also cut her two front bottom teeth. She is eating a bunch of solid foods and is getting very quick with her crawling. She immediately brings herself to a stand and cruises on the couch back and fourth. She is a little genius! (haha, had to say that!). Everyone tells me that you can't wait for them to walk, and when they do, you wish you hadn't hoped for that just yet. Of course, I can't wait for her to walk! Oh and she is saying Mama!!! How special do I feel now that I rank up there with Dada?!

Emerson is right on the edge of being a nonstop crawler:) Here is video of her starting to crawl (and another one of her in her bouncer). No teeth yet, but we know that her mouth is bothering her so it should be soon. She has a REALLY eventful weekend. In Dennis' words "I think you just grew up before my eyes." She is pulling herself up too. It is amazing to watch her do all this. It's like she is this little person now and knows it!

Emerson met Elmo!

Emerson went to Bella's birthday party this last weekend and met Elmo! Elmo was.... a very big Elmo. She didn't seem too interested other than to just stare at him. He did some dancing with the kids and made them all balloon animals. Emerson is already 7 months old. The time is flying by. She wants to crawl so bad. She gets on all fours and does the 'butt rock'. She will be crawling in no time. She doesn't have any teeth yet, but those are coming soon too. She likes to chew on her bath toy letters and numbers. She seems to prefer those and wet wash clothes over teething rings. It is so fun to watch her on a daily basis. We can see her mind just racing as she discovers her hands, fingers, nails, toes... It is so cool to say the least.

Emerson's 6 Month Pictures

Emerson got her 6 month pictures taken the other day from her Auntie Angie:) She did such a great job!!! We can't believe that Emerson is already 6 months old. The time has flown by. We heard her say 'dada' a couple times. She doesn't know what she is saying, but you can clearly hear it. It is the cutest  thing. She is talking more and more and screaming and making sounds. She has a lot to tell us! Emerson will be getting her flu shot today at the doctor (along with 3-4 other ones). She does pretty good with shots. It's just her mama that doesn't do so well :(.
