Emerson's Growing Up!

Our little pumpkin is growing up so fast.....She is talking like crazy and knows how to count to 10 and her ABC's for the most part. She loves her 'Dodo', which is our cocker spaniel Lucy. She didn't say her name for the longest time and only called her Dodo (I think she got that from the movie Follow that Bird), but now she actually calls her Lucy. Emerson is very active and busy. Daddy introduced her to the Muppets and she can't get enough of them. We watch the Muppets on a daily basis. At least we have 3 of the Muppet movies so that we have a little variety. She loves Piggy and Elmo. We can't believe she will be 2 in about 3 months and have a new sister at the same time. We are so excited!

Emerson is going to be a Big Sister!

We're all so excited! Baby Fogarty #2 is due on August 6th. Emerson's bday is August 2nd, so she might just share a birthday with her new sister or brother or even her cousin Gavin (August 3rd). We find out in March what we are having so stay tuned!

Christmas

Emerson got her first kitchen for Christmas from Santa. Dad spent 4 hours putting it together the night before. He didn't believe me when I told him he might want to do it before Christmas night. Let's just say, Dad had a late night:) He got all the joy out of it when Emerson saw the kitchen. She absolutely loved it! She was ready to become a chef right there. She still doesn't really understand what is going on, but it was so much fun for us!

We can't wait to celebrate Emerson's 2nd Christmas. She didn't do too well when she met Santa. She was scared of the big guy, but we got one picture with the absolute fear on her face showing. It's really a classic. She is singing and talking like nobody's business. She says things to me and Dennis that just amaze us. All we can do is look at eachother like 'What did she just say?!'. It gets more fun everyday to watch her grow up.

Emerson's First Halloween

Our little babe was a cupcake for her very first Halloween! She also picked out her own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. We took her around our neighborhood to trick-or-treat with Grandma Nancy. I had to hold her when we went up to people's doors or else she would just walk right in. She held onto her little pumpkin bucket and just stared at all the people when she got her candy. We got a giggle out of her when we went up to one door because the woman looked like her Great Grandma. I think she might have thought that it was her! Of course we had to dress Lucy up a little too. She got a cool pumpkin shirt from Auntie Rachel:)  

Emerson Singing Happy Birthday

Emerson has been talking more and more. One of her favorite words is Apple. She likes to sing Happy Birthday and use a little Dora kaleidoscope, that she thinks is a microphone, to sing songs. She watches our mouths when we talk and you can tell that she is just absorbing it all. It's the coolest thing to watch her grow up. She is 14 months old already. She loves to read books and dance to the Fresh Beat Band. We have some pretty rockin dance parties in the living room:)

Emerson's 1st Birthday!!!!

Emerson is a 1 year old!!! We can't believe how much the time has flown by. She got her first Fogarty hat at her birthday party from Auntie Shannon and Uncle Sean. She is the cutest Irish babe we have ever seen of course! She is pretty much walking (not quite there yet) and can't stop jabbering on about everything. She loves to dance too.  She likes to talk on the play phone and has quite the attitude lately. She really tells us when she does or doesn't like something! I like to refer to her as Dennis Ryan when she does that:) Just kidding daddy! kind of.....
